This is not the first time the region has experienced seismic activity recently. Just last week, tremors were felt in the Chaman district and nearby areas. That earthquake had a magnitude of 4.9, with a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was traced to northeastern Afghanistan, and its impact extended to areas like Qila Abdullah, Gulistan, Jungle Pir Ali Zai, and Toba Achakzai.
The people of Balochistan are accustomed to occasional tremors due to the region’s location near tectonic plate boundaries. However, every earthquake brings a renewed sense of fear and uncertainty, reminding everyone of the importance of safety measures during such incidents.
Experts emphasize the need for preparedness in regions prone to earthquakes. Families are encouraged to have emergency plans in place and stay informed about safety protocols to minimize risks during seismic events.
As residents of Sibi recover from the latest tremors, they hope for a future free from such unsettling experiences, while also preparing to face any challenges nature might bring their way.
