
The Punjab government has launched a special initiative to support people with disabilities by providing free wheelchairs and hearing aids. This program, introduced under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, aims to make life easier for individuals with mobility and hearing impairments.
Free Assistive Devices for Eligible Individuals:
As part of this initiative, individuals who have difficulty walking will receive free wheelchairs, while those with hearing impairments will be given hearing aids. This step is part of the government’s commitment to ensuring better accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities in Punjab.

Online Application Portal for Easy Access:
To simplify the process, an online portal (adwc.punjab.gov.pk) has been introduced. Eligible individuals can apply through this portal by providing their CNIC or b-form along with a disability certificate issued by the District Disability Assessment Board. This online system ensures a smooth and hassle-free application process.

Government’s Commitment to Inclusion:
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized that her government is dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities. She stated, “We are determined to fulfill our promise of rehabilitating and empowering special individuals.”
Additional Support Through Helpline and Social Welfare Offices:
Apart from the online portal, the government has also set up a dedicated helpline (1312) where applicants can get information and assistance regarding the program. Additionally, guidance and support are available at the Social Welfare Department offices in various districts.
This initiative reflects the Punjab government’s continuous efforts to create an inclusive society where people with disabilities receive the necessary support to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
