
The Punjab government has officially launched the much-awaited laptop scheme for students. This program is designed to help young learners enhance their digital skills by providing them with high-quality laptops.
Online Registration for Laptop Scheme
The Higher Education Department (HED) has created a special portal where students can register online for the scheme. To apply, students need to visit the official website at cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk.
Who Can Apply?
The Punjab Education Minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat, announced that this scheme will distribute the latest laptops to 110,000 students. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- BS students in their first and second semesters from public sector universities
- Medical students from government medical colleges
- BS students must have at least 65% marks in their intermediate exams
- Medical students must have at least 80% marks in their intermediate exams
The selection of students will be based on their intermediate marks.
Latest Generation Laptops for Students
Under this initiative, the Punjab government will provide 13th Generation Core i7 laptops to students. These high-performance laptops will help students in their studies, research, and skill development.
Strong Response from Students
Within just a few hours of launching the online registration, over 34,000 students had already signed up. This shows how eagerly students have been waiting for this opportunity.
