Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has announced an exciting new initiative to help families in need. Under the new scheme, free 3-marla plots will be offered to deserving individuals, helping them get closer to owning a home. This initiative is part of the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar program, which aims to provide affordable housing solutions to people across Punjab.
The project was officially launched with the inauguration of Zahra Homes and the Maskan Ravi Scheme in Kala Shah Kaku. This was a key step in Punjab’s broader effort to improve housing conditions for its residents. During the ceremony, CM Maryam Nawaz shared her satisfaction with the progress of the project and the successful completion of homes that have already been provided to 100 families. This accomplishment was achieved in just two and a half months, highlighting the speed and efficiency of the project.
The Zahra Homes project, which is located in Lahore, features houses that are both earthquake-resistant and energy-efficient. Each home covers an area of 400 square feet and includes two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a small courtyard. These houses are built using the latest EPS Smart Panel Technology, making them durable, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective. Additionally, every house in the Maskan Ravi area will be equipped with a 5 kW solar system, which will help reduce energy costs for the families living there.
The initiative is not just about providing homes. CM Maryam also emphasized that the community will be equipped with essential facilities like clean water through an RO plant, a school, a playground, a mosque, and a dispensary. These features aim to enhance the quality of life for families and ensure that they have access to the services they need.
The Zahra Homes and Maskan Ravi project is a joint effort between the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and EPS Solutions Pakistan, who have worked together to create a model of sustainable living for the people of Punjab. CM Maryam Nawaz highlighted how the project aligns with the government’s commitment to offering affordable and environmentally friendly housing options to those who need them most.
This new scheme promises to bring a significant positive change to many families who dream of owning their homes but have struggled to make that dream a reality due to financial constraints. The initiative will provide 3-marla plots free of charge to those who qualify, making home ownership much more accessible for many deserving individuals.
CM Maryam Nawaz expressed her pride in the success of the Zahra Homes project and her hope that the new 3-marla plot scheme will reach even more families across Punjab, ensuring they have a safe, sustainable place to call home. This project is expected to have a lasting impact on the lives of many families, offering them not just a roof over their heads but a brighter future.
