In a heartwarming event, the Palestinian Embassy in Pakistan honored two young Pakistani siblings, Ubaydah Al Fiddhah Hafiah (11) and Ghulam Bishar Hafi (13), for their powerful advocacy for the children of Gaza. Their dedication and support for Palestine have touched hearts across the world.
A Special Recognition for Young Activists
The Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Zuhair Zaid, expressed deep gratitude to the siblings, praising their courage and unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people. In a heartfelt letter, he described their efforts as a symbol of humanity and justice. He emphasized that their actions, though small in scale, carry an immeasurable meaning in the fight for justice.
Dr. Zaid was deeply moved by their work, stating, “Your words, written with hands so young yet hearts so vast, have transformed pain into power, grief into hope, and silence into a voice that echoes across the world.” He admired their peaceful approach to advocacy, which spreads love and truth instead of violence.
A Bond Beyond Borders
During the special reception, Dr. Zaid made an emotional announcement, declaring that Ubaydah and Ghulam Bishar would now be considered his own children, alongside his five biological children. This touching statement highlighted the strong connection between Pakistan and Palestine, strengthened by the siblings’ passionate efforts.
Prof. Dr. Aurangzeb Hafi, the father and mentor of the siblings, shared that their campaign has been widely recognized, with their petitions, resolutions, and protest notes drawing attention to the suffering in Gaza.
A Unique Form of Protest
The siblings gained international attention for their powerful form of protest—writing messages in their own blood to highlight the pain and suffering of children in Gaza. Their campaign, known as Voice for the Voiceless, was ranked among the most impactful advocacy movements and earned them official recognition from Palestinian authorities.
Following the recent ceasefire in Gaza, they revived their campaign, urging global leaders to intervene and support orphaned and disabled Palestinian children. Their activism, which began on June 4, 2024, on the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, continues to inspire people worldwide.
A Call to Action for Humanity
Dr. Zaid also discussed with Prof. Hafi the urgent need to provide protection and resettlement for Gaza’s orphaned children, especially those who have suffered life-altering injuries. The siblings’ voices have brought attention to the plight of these innocent children, showing that even the youngest activists can make a difference in the world.
Their story is a powerful reminder that humanity, love, and justice still exist. Ubaydah and Ghulam Bishar have proven that age is no barrier when it comes to standing up for what is right. Their message of hope and resilience will continue to inspire millions around the world.
