
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is all set to visit Azerbaijan on February 24 for a two-day trip, aiming to boost trade and energy cooperation between the two countries. This visit is expected to bring significant agreements that will benefit both nations.
One of the key deals expected to be signed is the establishment of a trading company that will help improve bilateral trade between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. In addition, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and the Azerbaijan State Oil Company are likely to finalize an agreement to enhance energy cooperation. Another major development could be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a gas pipeline project, which will help improve energy supply in both countries.
Azerbaijan has also shown interest in investing in Pakistan’s infrastructure, particularly in the communication and motorway sectors. Discussions will take place to explore new opportunities for expanding trade and investment between the two nations.
After concluding his visit to Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is expected to travel to Uzbekistan for a one-day visit. This trip is part of Pakistan’s broader strategy to strengthen economic ties with regional countries and attract foreign investments in key sectors.
