Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed heartfelt gratitude to China for constructing the state-of-the-art New Gwadar International Airport.
During an important meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, key discussions were held regarding the operationalization of the airport. Federal Minister for Defence and Aviation Khawaja Muhammad Asif, along with senior government officials, attended the meeting. Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Federal Minister for Privatization, Investment, and Communication Abdul Aleem Khan participated via video link.
The briefing highlighted that the Gwadar-Muscat flight service will commence on January 10 next year. Talks are underway to expand domestic and international flight operations from Gwadar.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the new Gwadar International Airport is a shining example of the strong friendship between Pakistan and China. He thanked China for constructing this world-class facility equipped with modern amenities.
The Prime Minister stated that the operationalization of the airport will pave the way for prosperity and create employment opportunities in the region. He directed the relevant authorities to develop a comprehensive strategy to establish the New Gwadar International Airport as a bustling transit hub.
The airport is not only a testament to the Pakistan-China partnership but also a symbol of progress and hope for the people of Gwadar and the nation at large.
