In an effort to make its services more accessible and efficient, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a unique bike service in Karachi. This new initiative aims to ease the burden of long queues and waiting times for people needing services like national identity card issuance and renewal.
Starting from Monday, this doorstep bike service will be available to residents in Karachi. Initially, three bikes will be operating in the city, and to further expand the service, additional bikes are planned for other areas like Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas, where each will have one bike to serve the local residents.
The bike service is designed to help people avoid the hassle of traveling to NADRA centers, which can be especially difficult for those with busy schedules or limited mobility. The service is also highly beneficial for those who simply don’t want to wait in long lines. The bike service representatives will have portable processing equipment that allows them to handle applications directly from the comfort of a citizen’s doorstep.
To use the service, there will be a small fee of PKR 1,000. This fee includes PKR 825 for the service charge and an additional PKR 175 for delivery.
NADRA officials are optimistic about the success of this initiative, as it is designed to make it easier for everyone to access essential services without having to go through the trouble of visiting an office. They plan to expand the service soon, with more bikes being added to serve even more areas.
This new doorstep bike service is part of NADRA’s ongoing efforts to bring government services closer to the people, ensuring that they can take care of important tasks conveniently and without unnecessary delays. Whether it’s getting a new ID card or renewing an old one, this service will help make the process quicker, easier, and more accessible for the people of Karachi.
