Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is making big strides in improving water availability and supporting agriculture. The province is currently working on constructing 36 small dams to boost irrigation, solve water shortages, and create job opportunities.
KP Irrigation Minister Aqibullah Khan shared updates about these projects during his visit to the Jaroba Dam in Nowshera. He assured the public that all development projects would be completed on time, as per the instructions of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The minister highlighted the fast progress of the irrigation department, stating that eight dams have already been completed in a short span. The Jaroba Dam, one of the key projects, will help irrigate 930 acres of barren land, making it fertile for cultivation.
