The Peshawar administration has taken an important step to protect students’ health by banning the sale of junk food near schools. This decision, announced by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Peshawar, aims to ensure children consume healthier food options and avoid harmful snacks.
Junk Food Sale Banned Near Schools:
Under the new rule, vendors are not allowed to sell junk food within a 150-meter radius of schools. This includes chips, soft drinks, and other unhealthy snacks. The authorities will take strict action against those selling low-quality or harmful food items. This ban will remain in place for 30 days to help improve children’s health and well-being.
Safety Measures Near Peshawar Airport:
In addition to the junk food ban, the administration has also introduced new rules to enhance safety around Peshawar Airport. Under Section 144, aerial firing, kite flying, pigeon flying, and the use of laser lights are strictly prohibited in the airport vicinity for two months. These measures are meant to prevent any risks to aircraft operations and protect public safety. Shops selling pigeons near the airport are also included in the ban.
