Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has expressed that his party now has no choice but to take their cases to international courts. His sister, Aleema Khan, shared with the media that they had tried to seek help from both the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and the Supreme Court (SC), but their pleas were ignored. According to Aleema, the family is now left with no other option but to reach out to the international community for support.
Aleema Khan also revealed a troubling development during their visit to Adiala Jail. She explained that, unlike before, the family was stopped from entering the jail, and they had to walk to the internal gate. Previously, they had easy access to Imran Khan, but now only limited access was allowed. Aleema called this situation a form of torture, especially since even Imran Khan’s personal doctor was being denied entry.
Despite the difficulties, Aleema Khan mentioned that her brother, Imran Khan, was not discouraged. After watching a press conference by Rana Sanaullah, Imran Khan smiled and seemed to take comfort in the situation. Aleema assured that the family would continue to convey all of Imran Khan’s messages to the people of Pakistan and would not let any message go unheard.
Two months ago, the family had been warned that AI-generated videos would be released to harm Imran Khan’s reputation. However, Imran Khan remained confident, stating that he had the support of the people and the country’s social media. Aleema Khan clarified that while it might seem like they were involved in politics, their focus was solely on securing Imran Khan’s release and supporting his leadership, regardless of whether he holds an official position or not. She emphasized that Imran Khan was the true voice of the people.
Aleema Khan further added that decisions were still being made from Adiala Jail, and they would not leave until Imran Khan is freed. She reassured the public that despite the threats, they were not afraid because they believed in Allah’s protection. The family is determined to ensure Imran Khan’s safety and to bring attention to everything that is happening to him.
