The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced an opportunity for low-income employees to perform Hajj under the special “Hajj Labor Quota” for 2025. This initiative aims to support deserving workers in public and corporate sectors, providing them a chance to fulfill their religious obligations through their organizations’ assistance.
A total of 300 seats have been reserved under the Hajj Policy 2025 for this labor quota. These seats are specifically designated for employees in lower-grade roles, such as Scale 1 to 9, including laborers, industrial workers, and miners. This thoughtful allocation ensures that individuals from humble economic backgrounds can participate in the sacred journey.
The expenses for the selected employees under this quota will be covered by their respective organizations as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. This generous provision highlights the commitment of organizations toward supporting their workforce.
To participate in this program, companies must be registered with the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) and the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF). This requirement ensures that the benefits reach legitimate organizations and deserving employees.
The ministry has urged organizations to nominate eligible employees by completing the prescribed forms and submitting them to the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) by January 15, 2025. This deadline is crucial to ensure timely processing and selection.
In addition, federal and provincial ministries have been directed to forward nominations from their affiliated corporations and institutions. These nominations must also reach the Ministry of Religious Affairs by the specified date, ensuring no deserving candidate is left behind.
This Hajj Labor Quota is a commendable initiative to support low-income workers, offering them a rare and cherished opportunity to embark on the holy pilgrimage. Interested organizations and employees are encouraged to act promptly to ensure participation in this noble program.
