The Pakistani government has expanded its Prime Minister’s Youth Loan Scheme, allowing young students to apply for loans to buy laptops. This initiative aims to help students access modern technology and improve their education.
The announcement was made by Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Youth Affairs. He confirmed that an official notification has been issued, and students can now benefit from this new opportunity.
Who Can Apply?
The laptop loan is available for students between the ages of 18 and 30 who are currently enrolled in universities or colleges recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). This ensures that only genuine students can benefit from the scheme.
Loan for Studying Abroad:
The government has also extended financial support to young individuals who wish to work or study abroad. Under this scheme, students traveling overseas for higher education can receive loans of up to Rs1 million. This amount can be used for tuition fees, training programs, visa expenses, and travel costs.
Government’s Vision for Youth:
The government is actively working to create better opportunities for the youth by providing financial aid and resources. The expansion of the Youth Loan Scheme reflects a strong commitment to empowering young people with education and career growth opportunities.
Success of the Youth Loan Scheme:
So far, more than Rs186 billion has been distributed under the Prime Minister’s Youth Loan Scheme. The addition of the laptop loan program will further help students by enabling them to access the digital resources necessary for academic success.
This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of students across Pakistan, helping them improve their learning experience and career prospects.
