The government is gearing up to provide much-needed financial relief to the salaried class in the upcoming budget. Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb recently announced measures aimed at reducing the financial burden on working individuals while ensuring economic stability.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Aurangzeb highlighted several positive economic indicators, including a significant rise in the number of remittance senders, which has now reached 35 million. He also pointed out the growing inflows through the Roshan Digital Account, reflecting increased confidence in Pakistan’s financial system.
The finance minister emphasized that the private sector plays a key role in economic growth, and the government remains committed to supporting its expansion. He reassured businesses and investors that Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves are improving, which is a positive sign for overall economic stability.
One of the main focus areas of the upcoming budget is providing relief to the salaried class, which has been struggling with high inflation and a heavy tax burden. The government understands these challenges and is working on measures to ease financial pressure while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
Aurangzeb also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the construction industry, a sector that drives economic activity and job creation. However, he stressed that real estate activities must remain transparent and free from speculative practices to ensure long-term stability.
Pakistan’s economy has faced difficulties in recent years, with rising costs of living affecting millions of people. The upcoming budget is expected to introduce reforms that will help balance economic growth with the needs of the working class. By focusing on financial relief, investment opportunities, and a stable economic outlook, the government aims to create a more sustainable and prosperous future for the nation.
