Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken a major step to support women entrepreneurs in Pakistan by offering low-cost loans to help them grow their businesses. This initiative focuses on empowering women involved in small businesses and cottage industries, ensuring they have better access to financial resources.
During a meeting in Islamabad, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of including women entrepreneurs in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) sector. He directed the relevant authorities to develop a plan that would provide financial and training support to women running small businesses. A special committee was formed to create an action plan and submit recommendations to him.
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that women, who make up almost half of the country’s population, should be given more opportunities to participate in economic activities. He stressed the need for training centers where women can receive specialized business training. These centers will help them improve their skills and grow their businesses effectively.
The Prime Minister also ordered the immediate launch of low-cost loans for women under the Youth Loan Scheme. This financial support aims to help educated and skilled women, especially those in rural and remote areas, so they can start and expand their businesses with ease.
The government is committed to providing all necessary resources to women entrepreneurs, ensuring they have the right tools to succeed. By offering financial assistance and business training, Pakistan aims to strengthen its economy and create more job opportunities for women.
