The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has announced a major expansion of its Fast Track passport facility, bringing faster and easier passport processing to citizens in 47 cities across the country. This move marks a significant step toward improving access to public services and reducing wait times for passport applicants.
Previously, the Fast Track service was only available in seven major cities, including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta. With the latest update, 26 more cities have been added to the network, making the service available in smaller towns and remote areas for the first time.
The newly added cities include Attock, Haripur, Chakwal, Batkhela, Sargodha, Swabi, Bhalwal, Nowshera, Hafizabad, Karak, Mianwali, Mansehra, Bhakar, Muzaffarabad, Kohat, Mirpur (AJK), DI Khan, Bagh, Swat, Rawalakot, Abbottabad, Kotli, Bannu, Sudhanoti, Hangu, and Bhimber.
This expansion aims to make the passport process faster and easier for millions of people living in these areas. Residents can now take advantage of the expedited service without having to travel to major cities, saving time, money, and effort.
To ensure smooth implementation, the Directorate General has directed zonal heads to start offering the service at all newly added locations without delay. Additionally, the Passport Processing System (PPS) is being updated to reflect the changes, ensuring that all systems are ready to support the expanded service network.
The notification for this initiative was issued by Assistant Director (Policy-I) Hafiz Abdul Nasir and circulated to relevant authorities, including the Director General of Pakistan Post. This ensures that citizens are well-informed about the new locations where Fast Track passport services are now available.
This expansion is part of a broader effort by the Directorate General to modernize and streamline public services. With this development, residents in the newly added cities can enjoy quicker passport issuance, reducing the hassle and long wait times often associated with the process.
The Fast Track service is a game-changer for people who need their passports processed quickly. Whether for urgent travel, business, or personal reasons, this service ensures that the process is efficient and hassle-free.
The Directorate General is committed to enhancing the convenience and accessibility of passport services, and this expansion reflects their dedication to serving the public better.
