Great news for those planning to perform Hajj in 2025! The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that an additional 5,000 pilgrims will now be able to join the sacred journey under the government Hajj scheme.
This new opportunity comes as part of the government’s efforts to utilize the remaining quota slots for Hajj 2025. Applications for these 5,000 slots will open soon, and the allocation will be on a “first come, first served” basis, ensuring a fair and quick process.
The Ministry has shared that the collection of new applications is expected to start next week. Earlier, the government received 81,500 applications under the Hajj scheme. To make things easier, no new ballot will be held for these additional slots. A five-day window is being considered for submitting these applications, giving prospective pilgrims a short but clear timeframe to apply.
On the private Hajj front, significant progress has been made. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain recently chaired an important meeting with top officials, including Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi and Chairman HOAP Nasir Khan. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held about private Hajj operations, and agreements were finalized with mutual consent. Private pilgrim group bookings are set to begin on January 10.
Officials emphasized the importance of following the rules and regulations of both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan for a smooth pilgrimage experience.
Previously, the government had extended the deadline for Hajj applications multiple times to meet the required quota. However, only 82,000 applications were received by the final deadline. All applicants have already been declared successful, but the Ministry is now working to fill the remaining 7,000 quota slots effectively.
This is a golden chance for those who missed the earlier deadlines. Stay prepared and submit your application as soon as the process begins to secure your spot for this life-changing journey!
