Estonia, a country in Northern Europe, has made it easier for skilled workers from around the world, including Pakistan, to apply for work visas. This decision was made in response to the country’s need to fill gaps in its labor force. By relaxing the visa rules, Estonia aims to attract more talented workers from different sectors.
To boost its economy, Estonia has also updated the minimum salary requirements for foreign workers. These changes are designed to make it more accessible for people to come and work in Estonia.
Estonia offers several types of work visas, depending on the job type and duration of stay. One of the main visas is the long-term visa, which is issued to workers who have a job contract for 12 months or more. For workers staying longer than a year, Estonia provides temporary residence permits that can be renewed for up to five years.
For entrepreneurs, there is the startup visa, which allows business owners to establish a company in Estonia. There is also the digital nomad visa, available to remote workers earning at least 3504 euros per month.
To apply for a work visa in Estonia, applicants must first have a job offer from a local employer. After that, they need to submit necessary documents like a valid passport, job contract, and proof of qualifications. The next step is to submit the application online or at the nearest Estonian embassy. Depending on the visa type, applicants may be called for an interview at the embassy.
Salaries in different sectors vary in Estonia. In the IT sector, the average salary ranges from 2500 to 4500 euros per month. In healthcare, it is between 2000 and 3500 euros. Workers in the manufacturing industry can expect to earn between 1500 and 2500 euros, while those in agriculture usually make between 1200 and 2000 euros. In the construction sector, the average salary is between 1800 and 3000 euros.
