
Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang is scheduled to visit Pakistan in April to discuss key economic and development projects. His visit is expected to further strengthen relations between China and Pakistan, focusing on trade, infrastructure, and investment opportunities.
According to diplomatic sources, PM Li Qiang will meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, and senior military officials. These discussions will primarily revolve around the progress of ongoing projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and potential new agreements in various sectors.
During his visit, both countries are likely to sign new agreements related to trade, infrastructure, and investment. Special attention will be given to the ML-1 railway project, a significant development under CPEC aimed at improving Pakistan’s railway network. Other economic initiatives and collaborative ventures will also be reviewed to boost economic growth.
Li Qiang last visited Pakistan in October 2024 for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting in Islamabad. His upcoming visit is expected to reinforce economic cooperation and accelerate joint development projects. Experts believe this visit will strengthen the long-standing friendship between China and Pakistan while paving the way for new business and investment opportunities.
