
The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has introduced a new health card program to provide free medical treatment to the people. This initiative aims to ensure that citizens receive necessary healthcare without financial worries.
Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq chaired a cabinet meeting where important decisions were made. After the meeting, Finance Minister Abdul Majeed Khan informed the media about the approval of several initiatives. The health card program was a key decision taken to improve public health services.
Along with the health card, the cabinet approved a loan scheme to support skilled youth in starting businesses. Additionally, a fund of 1 billion rupees has been allocated to help local government representatives carry out development projects.
To tackle climate change issues, the government has created a special task force under IT Minister Zia Al-Qamar. This task force will work on finding solutions to environmental challenges. Moreover, the cabinet has introduced a policy to address the concerns of contract employees in the higher education sector.
The finance minister also announced that February 5 will be observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day with full dedication to show support for Kashmiris. He further assured that strict legal action will be taken against those responsible for the recent attack on the Assembly Speaker.
In financial matters, the Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is now aligning its policies with the State Bank of Pakistan to improve banking services.
The cabinet also strongly condemned a statement made by the Indian defense minister and assured that AJK will firmly respond to any threats against the Kashmir freedom movement.
This new health card initiative is a major step toward improving healthcare in AJK. With free medical treatment, financial support for skilled youth, and efforts to tackle climate change, the government is working towards a better future for its citizens.
