The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has taken a significant step to improve the lives of workers by increasing the minimum monthly wage to Rs37,000. This decision reflects the government’s commitment to supporting labor rights and ensuring financial security for workers across the province.
In a recent meeting, CM Maryam Nawaz approved several welfare projects aimed at improving employment conditions and healthcare services. One of the major initiatives includes the development of labor colonies, which will provide better living facilities for workers. Additionally, the government plans to launch Maryam Nawaz Wellness Centres, offering essential health services to the public.
Healthcare remains a top priority, and as part of this commitment, a 200-bed cardiology center will be constructed in Lahore, while a 50-bed hospital will be established in Rahim Yar Khan. These hospitals will ensure quality healthcare is accessible to more people, particularly those in need.
The Punjab government is focused on bringing long-term improvements in worker welfare. With better wages, improved working conditions, and enhanced healthcare facilities, the province aims to create a more secure and prosperous future for its workforce. A detailed action plan will be implemented to ensure these initiatives have a lasting impact.
This latest move is a clear indication that the government is dedicated to uplifting workers and promoting economic stability. By prioritizing fair wages and better living conditions, Punjab is setting a strong example of how leadership can bring meaningful change.
