
Pakistan Navy’s warship, PNS Yarmook, recently visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take part in the prestigious International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and Naval Defence Exhibition (NADEX) 2025. These global events bring together top defense forces, cutting-edge military technology, and naval collaborations, showcasing the latest advancements in defense and security.
The exhibitions saw the participation of ships from eight countries, while representatives from a total of 65 nations attended the event. PNS Yarmook played a significant role in strengthening Pakistan’s naval presence and international defense ties.
During its visit, PNS Yarmook conducted joint exercises with the UAE Navy’s Ship Al Emirates. These exercises aimed to improve coordination, enhance naval combat readiness, and promote defense cooperation between the two friendly nations. The event also provided an opportunity for knowledge-sharing and strategic discussions among global military leaders.
Several high-profile dignitaries visited PNS Yarmook during the exhibition, including Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister for Tolerance and Coexistence, as well as the Defence Ministers of Romania and Yemen. These visits highlighted the importance of Pakistan’s role in global maritime security and the growing defense collaborations with other nations.
Pakistan’s Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (Operations) also engaged in discussions with military officials and defense representatives from participating countries. These conversations focused on mutual interests, security challenges, and ways to enhance naval cooperation in the region.
The participation of PNS Yarmook in IDEX and NADEX 2025 is a reflection of Pakistan Navy’s commitment to global maritime security and its strong defense relations with the UAE. It showcases Pakistan’s naval capabilities while reinforcing its dedication to international peace and stability.
