The Punjab Education Department has officially announced the revised school timings for Ramadan 2025. These new timings aim to make it easier for students and teachers who are fasting while ensuring that education continues smoothly during the holy month.
In Ramadan, school hours are adjusted to provide a comfortable learning environment while considering the well-being of those observing fasts. The Punjab government has set different schedules for regular and double-shift schools to accommodate everyone effectively.
For regular schools in Punjab, the new timings will be:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
For schools operating in two shifts, the Ramadan schedule will be:
- Morning shift (Monday to Friday): 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Afternoon shift (Monday to Thursday): 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Friday afternoon shift: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM
These changes will take effect from the first day of Ramadan, and all schools have been instructed to follow the new timings accordingly.
The purpose of these adjustments is to support students and teachers during the fasting month, ensuring that they can continue their studies in a more manageable routine. The shorter school hours will allow students to focus on their religious obligations while maintaining their academic progress.
Parents and students can get further details about the Ramadan school schedule from their respective schools or official announcements from the Punjab Education Department. The government has taken this step to ensure that learning remains uninterrupted while considering the special needs of the holy month.
