The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Embassy has announced new visa rules for Pakistanis traveling to the UAE. The updated guidelines include required documents, application procedures, and special instructions for minors. If you are planning a trip to the UAE, whether for a visit, tourism, or family reasons, here’s everything you need to know.
Visa Application Process and Fee
Applying for a UAE visa has become more streamlined. The visa fee is set at $69 (approximately Rs. 19,300). All visit, tourist, and family visa applications must be submitted online, while employment visas have a different process. After applying, applicants will receive a notification about their appointment at the embassy or visa center.
Essential Documents for a UAE Visa
To ensure a smooth application process, you need to provide the following documents:
- Visa Application Proof: A copy of your submitted application.
- Bank Statement: A stamped and signed six-month bank statement with a minimum balance of $5,000 (approximately Rs. 1.4 million).
- Accommodation Proof: Confirmation of your stay, such as a hotel booking, home lease, or proof of residence with relatives or friends.
- Return Ticket: A confirmed return flight ticket is mandatory.
- Identification Documents: A valid passport (must be valid for at least six months) or National Identity Card (NIC).
- Visa Fee Payment: The $69 fee must be paid to a designated Al-Falah Bank account, and the original payment receipt must be presented at the visa center.
Special Visa Rules for Minors
The UAE has introduced special guidelines for minors based on their age:
- Under 5 Years: No need to visit the visa center. Only a passport-size photo with a white background is required.
- Ages 6 to 15: A photo is not needed in advance; it will be taken at the visa center.
- Ages 15 and Above: The application process is the same as for adults.
Biometric Verification
All applicants aged 5 years and older must complete biometric verification at the visa center before their visa is finalized.
