Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has introduced several major initiatives to support students, improve healthcare, and provide financial help to underprivileged brides. His announcements are seen as a response to Punjab’s policies, highlighting KP’s progress and financial stability.
One of the biggest highlights is the free laptop program for students. Gandapur assured that the distribution of laptops in KP will be equal to that in Punjab, ensuring fair opportunities for students. This initiative aims to help students in their studies and boost digital learning.
The chief minister also urged Punjab to launch a health insurance program similar to KP’s Sehat Card Plus. KP has already introduced a new life insurance plan, providing additional financial security to its citizens. He encouraged Punjab to adopt a similar approach to improve healthcare accessibility.

Financial management was another key focus of Gandapur’s speech. He claimed that KP’s revenue has grown by 55%, while Punjab’s increase is only 12%. He also pointed out that KP has a budget surplus of Rs176 billion, in contrast to Punjab’s budget deficit of Rs146 billion, even though Punjab is following IMF targets.
In addition to education and healthcare, Gandapur introduced a special financial aid program for underprivileged brides. Under this scheme, 4,000 deserving girls will receive Rs200,000 each to support their wedding expenses. This initiative is expected to help families facing financial hardships.
Gandapur strongly asserted that KP is performing much better than Punjab in multiple sectors. His statements and initiatives indicate that the KP government is committed to providing better services and financial support to its people. With these new programs, KP is setting an example for other provinces in Pakistan.
