The German Consulate General in Karachi has announced a temporary closure from February 19 to 21 due to scheduled maintenance. During this time, visa services will be completely unavailable, including new applications and passport collection.
The consulate has apologized for any inconvenience caused and has assured the public that services will resume once the maintenance is completed.
This closure comes after a previous decision to suspend consular services for non-European Union citizens last year, which remains in effect without any further updates. However, individuals who already had approved visas were still able to collect their documents.
Germany remains a popular destination for students and professionals from Pakistan, and while these temporary disruptions may cause delays, they do not change the long-term demand for German visas. Applicants are advised to stay updated through the official channels of the German Consulate to avoid any confusion regarding visa processing and services.
