Pakistani YouTuber and social media influencer Rajab Butt has responded to growing criticism over his family vlogs and extravagant wedding celebrations. Along with fellow content creator Ducky Bhai, he has faced backlash from social media users who disapprove of featuring female family members in vlogs.
Recently, there has been a debate in Pakistan about whether influencers should showcase their personal lives, especially their wives and families, on social media. Critics argue that this goes against traditional values and invades privacy, while supporters see it as a normal part of modern content creation.
Speaking on a talk show, Rajab Butt defended his decision to include his wife in his vlogs. He stated, “After marriage, you can’t hide your wife.” He also extended his support to his friend Ducky Bhai, who has faced similar criticism.
Butt has also been under fire for his wedding, which included grand celebrations and expensive gifts. Many accused him of flaunting his wealth. However, he denied these claims, saying that his wedding followed traditional customs, including Mayun, Mehndi, Baraat, and Walima. He explained that his friends contributed significantly to the wedding expenses, and he couldn’t refuse their generosity.
He also pointed out the contradictory nature of social media criticism. When he does not feature his wife in his vlogs, people claim he does not give her enough attention. However, when he includes her, they accuse him of using her for views.
Addressing the broader issue, Butt highlighted the struggles content creators face. He emphasized that he has worked hard to build his career and believes influencers deserve recognition rather than criticism.
Social media remains divided on the issue, with some supporting Butt and others believing that influencers should maintain more privacy. However, Butt remains firm in his stance, defending his choices and continuing to create content for his audience.
