In a remarkable display of creativity and engineering skills, Wali Muhammad, a talented artisan from Gujranwala, Pakistan, has successfully built a replica of the Tesla Cybertruck. The project, which has attracted a lot of attention from car enthusiasts and social media users alike, shows the impressive skills of local engineers and their ability to create futuristic vehicles on a tight budget.
Wali Muhammad, working under Mughal Safeguard at their Sialkot Road, Civil Lines branch, took on the challenge of building a car that resembled Tesla’s futuristic Cybertruck. The project was requested by a client who wanted to own a car that looked like the iconic electric truck designed by Elon Musk. What’s even more impressive is that the cost of creating this replica was only Rs. 3 million, which is equivalent to the price of a Suzuki Alto in Pakistan.
Although the replica was locally produced, it captures the design essence of the original Cybertruck. The sharp, angular structure and futuristic appearance are evident in the final product. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is remarkable, proving that local engineers can create highly innovative vehicles.
After the replica was completed, it didn’t take long for it to go viral on social media. Car enthusiasts and tech lovers quickly shared images and videos of the “Pakistani Tesla.” People were amazed at how engineers in Pakistan had successfully replicated a high-tech car that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars in the U.S.

Social media users were quick to share their thoughts, and the posts were full of excitement and admiration. One user, Saad Qaiser, jokingly said, “Pakistan’s first locally made Cybertruck. Elon Musk, it’s time to open a manufacturing plant in Pakistan.” Another comment from Khalid Mustafa added, “Elon Musk, your Cybertruck prototype is now roaming the streets of Pakistan. Local engineers have given it a desi twist. Check out this masterpiece!”
Some posts took a humorous turn, emphasizing the ingenuity of Pakistani engineers. One user jokingly said, “Jugaad rocked, Elon Musk shocked. The Cybertruck is now available in Pakistan for just $1,000.” This playful tone reflects the pride many Pakistanis feel for their engineers’ skills and resourcefulness.
While Tesla’s original Cybertruck comes with a hefty price tag, starting at $102,000 in the U.S., this locally-built replica offers an affordable alternative. In comparison to the original, which features high-tech stainless steel armor, flexible suspension, and armored windows, the Pakistani version keeps the key design elements but costs a fraction of the price. This makes the Cybertruck more accessible to car enthusiasts in Pakistan, where prices for luxury cars are often out of reach for the average person.
