Religious scholars in Lahore have recently issued a fatwa that declares one-wheeling, kite flying, and aerial firing as un-Islamic practices. They emphasized that these activities pose serious threats to human lives, which is against the fundamental teachings of Islam. Over the past 20 days, Lahore police arrested 151 individuals for engaging in one-wheeling and registered 150 cases related to kite flying. Additionally, 118 people were jailed for involvement in aerial firing. These figures highlight the seriousness of the issue and the need for immediate action.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran explained that Islam strictly prohibits any action that leads to self-harm or endangers others. He further emphasized that such reckless behaviors not only violate religious teachings but also contribute to unnecessary tragedies.
Authorities are committed to taking firm action to eliminate these dangerous practices. Parents are being urged to take responsibility and ensure their children do not participate in such risky activities.
