Punjab has taken a big step to improve healthcare by launching the “Maryam Nawaz Health Clinic” project. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif introduced this initiative to transform 150 health centers across the province into modern clinics. These upgraded facilities aim to provide high-quality healthcare similar to private hospitals.
The clinics will have the latest technology, and all processes, from patient registration to treatment, will be handled digitally. This ensures a smooth and efficient experience for patients. During the launch event, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz personally handed appointment letters to doctors who will serve in these clinics. Her leadership was widely praised, with Provincial Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir calling her a “Super CM.”
As part of the effort to boost healthcare, MRI services are also being introduced in district hospitals. Under a public-private partnership, these services are already available at Sheikhupura District Headquarters Hospital, while the installation is ongoing in Bahawalnagar. The entire project costs Rs. 399.2 million.
This initiative shows the government’s commitment to providing better healthcare to the people of Punjab, ensuring they have access to advanced medical services closer to home.
