The Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 is all set to bring excitement as the categories for foreign players have been finalized. The draft event, initially scheduled for January 11, will now take place on January 13 in Lahore. Six teams will participate in the draft to select players, and the finalized categories are ready to guide the process.
In the Platinum category, some big international names are up for grabs, including Australian opener David Warner, Tim Southee, and Chris Lynn. Other prominent players in this category include Matthew Short, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Michael Bracewell, Kusal Mendis, and Jason Roy. Teams can pick up to eight foreign players from this category.
The Diamond category features an even larger pool, with 87 foreign players registered. Meanwhile, the Gold category boasts 165 players eager to join PSL 10. Among the key players available in the draft are Pathum Nissanka, Charith Asalanka, Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, Jason Holder, Adam Milne, Sean Abbott, Corbin Bosch, Daryl Mitchell, Alex Carey, Usman Khawaja, Shakib Al Hasan, and Mustafizur Rahman.
Additionally, the draft pick order for the Platinum category has been finalized. Two-time champions Lahore Qalandars will have the first pick in the initial round, followed by their rivals Karachi Kings. Quetta Gladiators, the 2019 champions, will pick third, with Peshawar Zalmi taking the fourth slot. Last season’s runner-up Multan Sultans will pick fifth, and the reigning champions Islamabad United will have the sixth pick.
