Oman has launched three new online services to make it easier for businesses to operate and attract more investment. These services, introduced by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion in partnership with Muscat Municipality, are part of the Oman Business Platform.
The new services include the Lease Contracts Service, the Financial Reports Service, and the Interactive Guide for trade names. These tools are designed to simplify business processes and encourage entrepreneurs and investors to start projects that strengthen the economy.
The Lease Contracts Service aims to streamline lease agreements, making the process faster and more efficient for business owners. The Financial Reports Service helps businesses manage and submit financial information easily. Meanwhile, the Interactive Guide assists users in choosing unique trade names for their businesses, providing clarity and convenience.
These services are part of a larger effort to improve Oman’s business environment. The government has collaborated with private and public organizations to ensure the platform operates smoothly and follows global best practices. By connecting 48 government institutions, the Oman Business Platform facilitates data sharing and licensing processes, making business operations more seamless.
The launch event for these services was attended by important officials, including Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, the Governor of Muscat. His presence emphasized the importance of leadership and community involvement in promoting local projects.
Dr. Saleh Said Masan, the Undersecretary for Commerce and Industry, highlighted that these initiatives are part of Oman’s ongoing digital transformation. The goal is to make government services more efficient and accessible while boosting economic growth.
Ahmed Mohammed Al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, praised the new services as a big step forward for innovation and digitization in Oman’s business sector. He believes these tools will make it easier for businesses to grow and thrive in the country.
The event was also attended by Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, along with other senior officials from government and private organizations. Their collective support underscores the importance of these services in driving economic progress.
By launching these online tools, Oman is making strides toward becoming a more business-friendly and digitally advanced nation, helping both local and international entrepreneurs succeed.
