In a shocking turn of events, popular Pakistani TV host and former stage dancer Reema Khan has found herself in the midst of a serious legal issue. The star, who is well-known for her work in the film industry, is being accused of financial fraud by an overseas Pakistani investor. The allegation relates to her movie “Love Mein Ghum,” in which she not only acted but also directed and produced the film.
The controversy began when Shahid Rafiq, an investor from abroad, came forward with claims that he invested a large sum of money into the film based on the recommendations of Reema Khan’s sister, Maira Khan. Rafiq revealed in an interview that he invested a significant amount of Rs 2.1 crore (approximately 2.1 million rupees) in the project, trusting the assurances given to him. Maira, according to Rafiq, convinced him that the movie would be a profitable venture and that his investment would pay off.
However, things did not go as planned. Rafiq claimed that after making the initial investment, he continued to be asked for more funds, yet he saw no returns or profit from the venture. Despite being promised good returns on his investment, Rafiq says that none of these promises were fulfilled. His frustration grew when he was invited to Malaysia for the film’s shooting, where he spent several weeks. Even though the movie was completed and released, Rafiq says that his investment was never returned. He claims that, instead, he was asked to pay more money without seeing any benefit.
Rafiq maintains that he has all the necessary proof to back his claims, including signed agreements and bank statements that confirm his side of the story. He has even stated that these documents will help him in court and prove his allegations of fraud against Reema Khan and the others involved in the film.
The case has taken a legal turn, with Reema Khan filing a defamation lawsuit against Rafiq. However, Rafiq is firm in his belief that the court has already ruled in his favor. He claims that the Civil and Sessions Court decided in his favor, but Reema Khan is now trying to delay the process by appealing in the High Court. Despite these legal maneuvers, Rafiq is optimistic that the truth will come out during the proceedings.
The drama surrounding this film deal continues to unfold, with both sides standing their ground. While Reema Khan insists that Rafiq’s claims are false and that he is attempting to tarnish her reputation, Rafiq is confident that justice will prevail. He believes that the truth will come to light when Reema Khan faces the court.
As this case continues to develop, many are watching closely to see how it will unfold and what the future holds for Reema Khan’s career. For now, it seems the battle between the actress and the investor is far from over.
