Alongside them, Imad Wasim (mentor) and Azam Khan have been retained in the Diamond category. Gold spots have been secured by Salman Ali Agha, named the team’s brand ambassador, and Haider Ali. Colin Munro, one of the top overseas batters in PSL history, and Rumman Raees are retained in the Silver category.
Multan Sultans, the runners-up from last year, have retained their skipper Mohammad Rizwan and leg-spinner Usama Mir in Platinum. Key players like David Willey (mentor), Iftikhar Ahmed (brand ambassador), and Usman Khan are in the Diamond category. Chris Jordan has been retained in Gold, while Faisal Akram stays in the Silver category.
Peshawar Zalmi, led by the tournament’s all-time leading scorer Babar Azam, have kept him and rising star Saim Ayub in Platinum. Mohammad Haris has been retained in Diamond, while Silver-category players include spinners Arif Yaqoob, Mehran Mumtaz, and Sufyan Moqim, who also serves as the team’s brand ambassador. Ali Raza, a fast-bowling sensation, has been retained in the Emerging category.
Quetta Gladiators, known for their loyal fan base, have retained star batter Rilee Rossouw, mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed, and pacer Mohammad Amir in the Diamond category, with Amir taking on the role of mentor. Saud Shakeel, the team’s brand ambassador, has been retained in Gold alongside Akeal Hosein and Mohammad Wasim Jr. Khawaja Muhammad Nafay and spinner Usman Tariq round out the Silver category for the Gladiators.
Karachi Kings have made strategic decisions by retaining Hasan Ali and James Vince in Diamond. Captain Shan Masood and young talent Muhammad Irfan Khan stay in Gold, while Arafat Minhas, their brand ambassador, is joined by Tim Seifert and Zahid Mehmood in the Silver category.
Lahore Qalandars, the two-time champions, have retained their iconic duo of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman in Platinum. Haris Rauf, who doubles as their brand ambassador, and Sikandar Raza remain in the Diamond category. Abdullah Shafique, Jahandad Khan, and Zaman Khan hold Gold positions, while experienced all-rounder David Wiese continues in Silver.
This year, Lahore Qalandars will have the first Platinum pick in the draft, followed by Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators.
