In an exciting development for Pakistan’s youth, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunications, Shaza Fatima, has announced the launch of the ICT Training Portal, in collaboration with Huawei. This initiative is set to provide vast opportunities for skill development in the field of information and communication technology (ICT).
Through this program, Huawei plans to train 300,000 students annually, equipping them with modern skills to thrive in the tech-driven world. Minister Shaza Fatima revealed that over 17,000 students have already benefited from the training, while 5,000 trainers have also gained advanced skills under this program.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to empowering youth, she mentioned that millions of students have completed IT courses under government-led initiatives. Pakistan, being a country with over 150 million individuals under the age of 30, holds immense potential in the tech sector.
Huawei’s partnership with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) aims to enhance technical education by introducing global expertise and modern resources to Pakistan’s educational system. This initiative not only boosts the quality of technical skills among young Pakistanis but also contributes to fostering innovation and progress in the country’s tech industry.
This step represents a significant leap toward creating a skilled workforce and expanding opportunities for Pakistani youth in global markets. The program’s goal is to ensure that the younger generation is equipped with cutting-edge ICT knowledge, paving the way for a brighter and more technologically advanced future for Pakistan.
This training initiative is a golden opportunity for students to learn, grow, and become active contributors to Pakistan’s digital transformation.
