In a series of deportations, 52 Pakistani nationals have been sent back from seven countries due to a variety of violations. The countries involved in these deportations include Saudi Arabia, the United States, the UAE, and Sweden, among others.
These deportations took place recently, with many individuals arriving at Karachi Airport after being returned to Pakistan. Out of the 52 deported, three individuals were held for questioning, while the others were allowed to return to their homes. According to sources from the immigration department, the deportations occurred for different reasons related to violations of laws in those countries.
Saudi Arabia, in particular, took strict action by deporting several individuals for various offenses. Two Pakistanis were blacklisted, meaning they are no longer allowed to enter the country. One was sent back for begging on the streets, which is prohibited in the country. Another 11 individuals were deported for overstaying their visas, while seven others had lost their passports, making it impossible for them to stay legally. Additionally, there were allegations of sponsor complaints against nine people, which led to their deportation. Another 11 individuals faced deportation for different charges, but the details of these cases were not disclosed.
Other countries also followed suit, sending back Pakistani nationals for violations. Sweden, for instance, deported one individual, while the United States returned two Pakistanis for entering the country illegally. Oman sent one person back for overstaying their visa, and the UAE took action against three individuals who were residing unlawfully in the country.
Interestingly, three Pakistani children were among those deported. They were able to return to Pakistan after being issued emergency travel documents. This situation highlights the varying cases that contribute to the deportation of individuals from foreign countries.
In addition to the deportations, there were also instances of Pakistanis being stopped at Karachi Airport before they could board flights to various destinations. Thirteen individuals were stopped by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) immigration staff. These passengers were attempting to travel to countries such as Italy, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Tanzania. Five Umrah pilgrims were not allowed to board because they lacked hotel bookings or sufficient funds. Another individual heading to Qatar was stopped due to missing work visa documents and a No-Objection Certificate (NOC).
This situation brings to light the importance of following immigration rules and regulations when traveling abroad. Violating visa rules, overstaying, or engaging in illegal activities can result in deportation, as seen in these recent events. The impact of these actions is felt not only by the individuals involved but also by their families back home.
It’s essential for travelers to ensure they have all necessary documents, follow the laws of the country they are visiting, and respect the immigration rules to avoid facing similar consequences. The immigration authorities are continuing to monitor and take action against violators to ensure that international travel remains safe and regulated for everyone involved.
