A total of 258 Pakistani nationals were deported from several countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and China, on January 10, 2025. The deportations were due to various reasons, including overstaying visas, working without permits, and involvement in illegal activities.
Out of the 258 deportees, 232 were sent back from Saudi Arabia, which included seven beggars. In addition, 21 Pakistanis were deported from the UAE. Other countries, including China, Qatar, Indonesia, Cyprus, and Nigeria, also sent Pakistanis back for various reasons.
Among the deported individuals, two Pakistanis had been arrested for performing Hajj without the proper permits, while four others had overstayed their Umrah visas. Furthermore, 27 Pakistanis were arrested for working without sponsorship, and 16 individuals had stayed in Saudi Arabia beyond their visa expiration.
The UAE deported 112 Pakistanis after their sponsors filed complaints against them. This included 11 individuals involved in drug smuggling.
After their deportation, the names of 16 individuals from the UAE and Nigeria were added to the stop list, which means they are restricted from entering those countries in the future.
The deported individuals arrived in Karachi, where authorities arrested 16 of them. One of the deportees’ citizenship is currently under suspicion.
This incident highlights the importance of following visa and work regulations when living or working abroad. It also serves as a reminder to respect the laws of other countries to avoid such deportations.
